Teaching Swimming in Gaza
The five children who drowned were from Beitlaia, a small town with no more than 80,000 people. Within three weeks of those five children drowning and me resuming my teaching swimming initiative, we taught 110 children how to swim. I think we're on pool number six now, are we? And it was perfect. It was shallow waters. The water was warm for the children to bear. And it was clean, pristine water. So this was just the perfect spot.
