The DTI could be lower, but the overall picture doesn't concern me as a debt story. What does worry me more is that you want to retire in 16 years. Going from zero to retirement in the time span of 16 years is a very big goal. You want to retire at 60 at any age, starting from zero and retiring in 16 years is an undertaking.
