When you joined, there were some barely working algorithms at first. The challenges as everybody who's familiar with the old computer vision can tell you is that you cannot create an algorithm that can be completely autonomous in environment that you cannot control. We decided to start looking at some ways of utilizing deep learning to do counting to solve that problem. And even from the very few initial experiments the results were substantial.
