Neuromuscular Blockers - What's the Difference?

Succinylcholine is the only depolarizing neuromuscular blocker in clinical use of course. It produces a prolonged depolarization of the end plate and what that does is it desensitizes the receptor. The ED95 is somewhere around 0.5 milligram per kilogram, about doubling to 1 millionths of a kilogram. That dose will give total relaxation in about 60 seconds.
