The Effects of Sugar on the Brain

When you eat sugar, most of the fructose is that we get rid of in our intestine and our liver. There is a little that spills over that gets to the brain and it's not a lot. We now know that these foods that we're eating can raise fructose levels in the brain. The exact foods that are associated with increased risk for Alzheimer's also increased fructose in the brain when they were tested on people.
