i was very lucky that my college set up a chinese programme right as my own interests in china came out of nowhere. i don't feel like i was guided by anything. My father as an expert in international trade, not an academic, a business consultant, and he'd come and go around the world when we were kids. So maybe that es nosi ome easnnational. He speaks many, he speaks several european languages. And we'd speak to his a, his mother, my grandmother, in german over the phoneaw. But i didn't have a chance to go and explore that myself until my junior year of college.
