Evolution by Natural Selection
Theory of evolution by natural selection applies to the sensory systems of all organisms. Their sensory systems evolve not to show them the truth, but simply to give them a species specific use or interpace. The interfaces can very dramatically from species to species, depending on the fitness pay offs that govern their evolution. For example, being five thousand meters under water would be really terrible for me, but is fantastic for a benthic fish. And so you are going to get very, very different sensory systems. All of them will merely be user interfaces that hide the truth.
