There's a concept from Stephen Pressfield's The War of Art where he calls those shadow careers. He says the number of people that he met in LA who were failed actors or always wanted to become an actor, but ended up becoming an agent because it was tangential enough to the industry. Turning a love into a labor is one of the quickest ways to be able to destroy it. I've seen so many of my friends that love to train, become a PT, launch an online course and then before you know it they're a million miles away from being a PT.
