Columbus and the Apocalypse

His family is middle class, probably upper middle class. His father dominico, is a cloth weaver who does good enough. He makes friends with the people who are in charge of the city. When columbus is a little kid, he gets a cushy job at one point as the gate keeper. The cathedral that he would have gone to as a kid was most noted by this gigantic fresco it has of the apocalypse.
