The D a T Test Can Be a False Positive for Automune Hemolytic Anemia

A d a t positive test alone doesn't diagnose automune hemolitic anemia. You have to look at it in the context of the whole picture, that l d being high, the riticulous sites being elevated, the smear showing spherocites and that haptoglobin being very low. And i think, you know, putting all this together, and from and also, what i'm assuming now in retrospect, on that smear, were probably sphericites. We had diagnosed this patient with an acute hemalitic anemia; we'll talk about that in a future episode.
