Jevans was writing, as you're mentioning, kind of early on in the industrial revolution. Have we reached a kind of energy satiety where that rebound is goig to be less impact fu? It's not clear yet that even rich countries can dehardifid to softness,. Much less poor countries get to a soft, beautiful future without going through a hard stage. Can europe get through its energy crisis and solve it with more hard or more soft? Or we'll see, things are getting pretty ugly.
