Yarislav's grandfather worked at the vr u, a military radio headquarters near bletchley. The corps of about 12 to 15 men were responsible for maintaining radio contact with agents and embassies across europe where they had contacts. They could almost discern when a radio operator was speeding up, because they knew that they were going to get uncovered by gistapo detectors. One of them took their tablets and died in bohemia; another man swallowed his whole tablet after it fell from an apartment window. Yarislav: "This story's been a little bit caricatured... i think you can even get anthropoid comic books now"
