atmosphere in britain towards china has soured over the past seven years. Some of our political class are now applying a new test, will you condemn ch China at every turn? If not, you're probably an apologist. As oxford's ranamitter puts it, we've gone from complacency to panic. We need to know the answer to questions such as: how does the chinese government work? Who are the major influences within the c c p? What do the chinese really think?
