Hannibal regularly found himself in conflict with the police not uh Libyan police obviously because they would never get him in trouble or anything but with European police. In 2001 he assaulted officers at the Hilton in Rome at 3 a.m. He struck them with bottles and emptied a fire extinguisher on them for good measure, then pleaded diplomatic immunity as he would habitually do. Hannibal led French police on a high speed chase through the center of Paris after doing 90 miles an hour  on the Champs-Elysé. At one point he went the wrong way when the police finally stopped him six of his bodyguards arrived in other cars and attacked the police.
