Is Smoking Cessation a Bad Habit?

About 35 million americans are still smoking cigarettes. That's half of the number, ironically, as people who have severe digestive diseases. The rebound weight gain that's often attributed to the cessation of smoking could be attributed to profound changes in the intestinal flora. We can't just take away something that somebody enjoys, or that they might even be addicted to, and replace it with things that are of far less value both psychologically and biologically.
