Cross Examining Witnesses in a Criminal Trial
In virtually every trial in the united states of america, when government witness testifies, a defense lawyer with varying degrees of competence cross examines that witness. Sometimes they don't lay a glove on the witness, and sometimes they destroy the witness, but often its somewhere in between. With respect to cassidy hutchinson, as you just mentioned, there's all sorts of things you can cross examine her. But those are things that you would expect a defence lawyer skilled would get at. And some jurors might be thinking, well, ok, i have to discount some of the testimony of this person.
