Bond Yields Versus Stocks - Is There a Consistent Relationship?
There is very little evidence that I can find That there is a consistent relationship over time Between the fact that there are alternatives in terms of yields that are competitive with stocks. In certain periods like now we're seeing huge correlation between them and in like the early 80s when you have the same thing. Tight money is bad for asset prices of many things including stocks and bonds both Uh loose is good for both of them. The difficulty of having short-term money easily accessible at nearly free rates isn't really reflecting a DCF type thing if it took a while for long-term yields to drop But money got very easy.
