James Lindsay: We're going to dip out of this literally interminable critical education and critical pedagogy series that I'm doing. He'll read the first queer theory paper, which is called Thinking Sex by Gail Rubin written in 1984. This was a shot at the feminist world that said that we need a completely new politics of sex and sexuality. And queer theory is what resulted.
