Serotonin isn't going to explain all depression, says Professor Oliver Haus. It's a complicated disorder, and there are probably several different subtypes. Current treatments do help a lot of people, they don't work for everyone. Some people can't find any treatment that helps so we really need to understand more about what's going on in the brain that leads to depression.
