New theory says maybe gravity is not the same everywhere. If this theory was true, would we see rainbows around black holes? It's a very, very small effect until you get to very, very high energies or very, very strong curvature of space like around a black hole. This doesn't mean that we should expect to see gravitational rainbows all over the place,. You don't notice clocks going slow when you're throwing a baseball around. Your baseball doesn't seem to shrink even though it's going faster.
