UUIDs Are Very Powerful
In Shopify, we've seen a 50% decrease in entertainment duration by switching from a Uuid version 4 to a UUIDs for item participation. This is just like creating 1 plus 1 equal to. So you see, you, their databases here, they don't spell it out, but it's MySQL. And that's all what they say. They don't tell you how, they don’t tell you why, but I'm here to actually explain why. Why do you want to use those? Because you want the client to generate a unique ID as opposed of a database or a backend to generate a sequential unique identifier.
