It is easy to get used to something better while it is hard to go back to something worse. The long cross-gen period has led to current gen owners getting used to 60 FPS in games. I think the genie is out of the bottle and that many gamers may prioritize 60 FPS over better visuals. With more developers targeting 30 as part of their game design, could they instead focus on achieving 60 FPS with acceptable ray tracing at lower resolutions like 1080p? Then add a 30 FPS high resolution mode with all the bells and whistles. We've got a couple of questions next. Let's wrap them up into one.
