Collectivization, Was the Nationalization of Peasant Agriculture?

A part of the bolshevik promise in 19 17 was to give the land to the peasants. They thought that meant they would get some sort of like private property, or that they would be able to kind of till their own land. A but, and that did happen for a little bit, right when the bolsheviks first came nto power during the civil war. And then now stallin comes and says, what actually? The state is going to take this land back.
