When academia was set up, it was really hard to predict what the next scientific breakthrough was going to be. And i think for various reasons, the scientific landscape may be changing now. Is that good or bad? How can we prepare for it? That's another thing academi is really not set up to do. Academis to get the break through. We would love to change that at least somewhat by funding what we think its the most important work.
