The Power of the G4 Mac
The iMac G4 was a big deal because up until this point, Apple's pro product had been the G3. It still wasn't as fast or as powerful as a power Mac, but it meant that you could do things on an iMac that you couldn't before. The cost was a bit of a sticking point, but I think being for people who could afford it and who were really at the edges of what Apple was about at the time was nice.
