There are viruses everywhere that there's life on the planet basically. Most of them aren't infecting humans, only about 200 or so are capable of infecting us. These viruses kill about 20% of all bacteria every day. They play a really important role in the natural world to maintain balance and make sure no one species of bacteria becomes too dominant.
