Noise Annoys
The Remnant with Jonah Goldberg
00:00
What Is Noise and How Is It Different From Bias?
Noise is variability and judgment. If you have a scale in the morning that always shows you as five pounds heavier than you are, that's my bias scale. A noisy doctor or hospital who tests people a lot in the morning when they're energetic and ready to go could be biased against heart disease patients. And while bias is kind of charismatic, if we find bias, I'm not talking about race or over-genesis, by the way, talking about a bias meaning a tendency to make a mistake in a systematic direction.
