The Relationship Between Depression and Inflammation
People with depression tend to have what is generally called leaky gut. Their intestines are more permeable than those without depression. Toxins that are developed in their inter intestines actually can permeate through the intestines into the blood stream, and then that causes inflammation. If you suspect somebody has some nutritional deficiencies, or a disrupted microbiom or leaky gut, which they probably do, feral to a registered dietitian can be helpful.
