Ramesses II reigned over a glorious kingdom which saw great advances in military prowess and great constructions. His son Marnetah would indeed succeed him as Vero probably almost 70 years old himself. He epitomised the great Egyptian rise from the political uncertainty and instability of the Ammana period.
