Evolution and the Future of Life

Some people have published papers in official science journals addressing such questions. If you address a question that is relevant to intelligent design and evolution, it kind of bumps your paper up a couple of notches if you are going to try to take down evolution. I remember literally like 30 years ago reading an Atlantic Monthly cover article about how did life come into being in the first place. So what is it in the last 20 years that makes it clear that that can't work?
