Sun Yat-Sen's Legacy
Sun Yat-sen arrived in China on December 21, 1912. The Pu'i emperor was only 5 years old and had taken the throne at the age of 2 just 3 years earlier. Sun's goal all along wasn't just to get rid of the Qing dynasty but also to have a unified China. He began to work with the Chinese Communist Party and the Soviet Union as he needed allies to fight against the warlords.
