Archimedes - Mathematical Achievements

Togomedes was a greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, astronomer and inventor from syracuse. Among other things, he anticipated modern calculus and analysis by applying the concept of the infinitely small to prove geometrical theorems. Other math cal achievements include deriving an approximation a pi. Archimedes is also famous for his investigations into the volume in relation to the tcaling area of a circle. But we have plenty of evidence that he was hugely successful at this abite in the erea of war against the persians.
