The Life on the Road Real
There's sort of this central theme in the film about what is real, right? This life on the road real is the friendship between Jeff and Russell at the heart of the band. Is that real friendship or is it fake or in the service of something else? Is it transactional? When people occupy spaces outside of very traditional values or traditional value systems, I find that fascinating.
