Paul Manafort, Sr.

Paulafort, Jr. was born on April 1st, 1949 and grew up in New Britain, Connecticut. His grandfather immigrated there from Italy in 1907 and started a construction company. Paul's father wanted more than just the lucrative corpse burying mafia contracts an Italian contractor could expect to earn in the 1960s. In 1965 he ran for and won election to become the mayor of New Britain. And as you might expect from the Manafort name, he was outrageously corrupt. He was charged with perjury for lying in court about a municipal corruption investigation.
