Kurt Girdle proved that there are limits to what can be shown by logic. The human brain is an apparatus of a particular kind, only capable of thinking in a certain way. We shouldn't always expect the products of human imagination to fit tidily with categories of thought which we already possess. You may be a machine of a sort, but you are not just a piece of clockwork.
