Java Runtime and API Updates in the Android Ecosystem
The intent here is to get more updates and more recent versions of all of the bits for users. So in the ecosystem that we're happy to be a part of, it's been somewhat less under our control than other ecosystems. As the Java API set evolves over time, we'll be able to send those new APIs back to older devices as well.
