The Federal Reserve - A Counter Pole to the Gold Standard
In 19 13, the federal reserve was created at juckl island, south carolina. And it just didn't, there was just not enough available monetary supply in order to pay for the new deal programme. So athi they had to decouple the dollar from the new deal. This created kind of an ongoing rift between folks who were super committed to the gold standard and a rather, i would say, hierarchical view of society and money.
