The Difference Between Talk Therapy and Telling the Story
Every time you tell that story, you're digging a deeper rut on the dirt road. And for most survivors of childhood abuse, that major change is to realize that they didn't do anything wrong and that it wasn't their fault. So yeah, so in talk therapy and part, and I don't want to be like the person who's like totally against cognitive behavioral therapy because there are things that need that need to be rethought. But if it doesn't get down into the emotions that you felt at the time of the trauma then the trauma remains in your body.
