I'm Not Happy That I Get It, but I Understand It

I think that we're so drained and so exhausted and so tense and tired as Americans that the littlest stuff, somebody expressing the smallest bit of luxury is a trigger point for us. It's like it hits a nerve, it's a real triggerpoint for us. And I do think there's something about the internet that invites too much scrutiny and too much emotional investment into the ongoing of strangers  and part of it's partially due to to the way that algorithms work.
