In the early part of his career, han worked for rap, the waste and resources action programm. And i was trying to leverage private sector investment into the growing recycling industry. But banks were reluctant because they had large customers in the traditional waste management industry. They said it would be better if you filled up a landfill site faster. So that led him to triodos bank, which takes a very different view of those interests. He believes we can fundamentally change our economy by moving away from growth for growth's sake towards community-based prosperity.
