How to Find Exoplanets Around Other Stars

There are now thousands of confirmed exoplanets, actual observed planets around stars other than the sun. These 4,330 planets are in 3,200 different star systems all around the kind of local neighborhood that we live in of the Milky Way. Some of these planets have masses as small as the Earth's moon, while others are as big as about 30 times the mass of Jupiter.
