Theologically, or perhaps a better word is typologically, what we have in those passages is something that is really central to the profile of the Messiah going back not just to prophetic references in Isaiah and so on. But then there's the question of why is it that Jesus comes in as king, holds court, if you will, by deciding that they can't do this. And then like Luke indicates, he says that no one was allowed to carry a vessel without his approval.
