Don't, don't get too attached to your code. It may be that it's a really good suggestion, but it's just too big in the scope of whatever it is you're working on. You try to design features like that so that they can be tested and experimented with before you throw them into production. A lot of times, one reason you get so attached to your coat is just the sheer amount of effort you put into it.
