People believe the reason that sweden is able to overcome the welfare state is cause you have enough capitalism in sweden to overcome it. Now, sweden would be better off if they got rid of all this socialism that they still have in their economy. The average wealthy swede pays lower taxes. Middle class swedes probably pay higher taxes than middle class americans. But at least they get a lot for it. I mean, they get that free college.
