Most classrooms have seats and people are sitting down quite a bit, whether it's K-12 or higher ed. At my university, certainly in the sport science and exercise medicine faculty, they've all gone over to standing desks. And their advice to students is when you're studying, don't sit down for more than 40, 50 minutes at a go. Inflammation is the assassin of good brain health. You just want to avoid it. Even when we eat food, levels of inflammation go up in the body as you're eating.
