The Importance of Waiting

The book tries to raise the level of importance of being and waiting within the life of the church, the life of an individual believer. The first step to reimagining that this God acts and moves is to instead of frantically thinking of what do we have to do to save ourselves. I think the first move of the old Christian tradition is to stop and wait for God's gift that comes in anticipation. It doesn't take much to see how much waiting is an essential piece of biblical text.
