One of the tenets of NGOism is this fixation on community. I'd like to hear what you all think about how this term of community can be depoliticizing and inaccurate. There's a big push on, for example, frontline communities in the environmental movement. When you go to these frontline communities, people don't necessarily consider themselves to one be in these communities or actually on the front lines of climate change. You see the law on the NGOs, you'll see a lot in in left political circles too.
