The Special Counsel's Requests for a Trial of Donald Trump
Special counsel Jack Smith is pushing for the trial of Donald Trump to begin on January 2nd. He's targeting it to last just four to six weeks, meaning that we could be wrapped up with this entire thing before Super Tuesday and long before the Republican National Convention. This has apparently been sent to the judge, Judge Chacken. So she will be the one who decides, of course, Trump and his legal team are what passes for a legal team. They'll have their opportunity to push for a date, which I'm estimating will be somewhere in the 2070s or so.
