Transgender Identity and Sexual Orientation in the Western World
Since the 1970s there has been an intense push to separate gender as we think of as a kind of internal identity from sexuality. Adrienne: Trans women have been hung out to dry pretty much by everyone everywhere all the time for at least like two centuries in a row now and that's what i'm writing about. The betrayal of trans people particularly trans femininity which had a really central cultural political and social role in the gay world before this era.
