We were playing in New York at the time. We couldn't get out of our gig in New York. Lou Adler, I think, was pissed at us. Ray decided, are you kidding? Woodstock? Nobody's going to come to that man. It's too far from New York. You know what? They didn't even bite us anyway. But he was kind of boring that night. He just kind of went going through the motion. Like when you see a guy going through different phases, you got to be kind of like, Oh, here we go. This is going to be something different tonight.
